How much does it cost to join Rate My Contractors?

Nothing, it's FREE.

Is Membership required?

No.  Membership is not necessary to view the Home Improvement Contractor ratings and reviews.  Membership is required however if you would like to add or rate Contractors.  This simple step helps us maintain the integrity of the Rate My Contractors database.

How does Rate My Contractors prevent, identify and remove false, erroneous or malicious postings?

We begin by believing in the goodness of people. 

Given that the intentional posting of false, erroneous or malicious content is a direct violation of the Terms of Use of this site and given that all registered members have agreed to this Terms of Use, we don't expect this type of activity to occur. 

That said we have built-in mechanisms to help minimize, target and eliminate problems of this nature.  One of most obvious is allowing only registered Members to add or rate contractors.  Another is allowing a registered member to add only one rating for any individual contractor within a six-month period.  Some mechanisms are not so obvious.  A good example here is the internal review of all content.

One of the most powerful mechanisms we have is the ability of our Membership to flag content they deem suspicious or inappropriate.     

While no system is perfect, we aim to be.  If you suspect false, erroneous or malicious content has been added please use the 'flag comment' feature or contact us.

Rate My Contractors provides Home Improvement Contractors with a great way to get honest feedback from customers.  By keeping your customers happy, Rate My Contractors works for you by allowing your work to speak for itself.  Feel free to encourage your customers to use Rate My Contractors to provide their feedback.
